I learned to sew from my grandmother, mainly because my mother did not have the patience to do so. Although I enjoyed the time I spent with her we started on a blouse. Looking back I wish I had started on a quilt so my confidence in my sewing ability increased with the process. Can you imagine the quilts I could have crafted had I learned to quilt at that age. And trust me, I do not make blouses for myself.
